This’ boasts giant (16cm x 11 cm), amply ruffled flowers. White standards and ivory-white falls with a wide and sinuous light- to medium pure blue border.

The genus takes its name from the Greek word for Rainbow and the array of colours available in the various groups of Iris do that name justice. Iris germanica, or bearded iris, has large flowers with a characteristic beard that attracts insects. This robust structural plant with thick rhizomes is suitable for sunny areas with poor soil.
