Plant in sunny areas or partial shade but keep protected from extremely hot conditions. Plants prefer rich, moist soil that does not waterlog.
Mostly taller plants suitable for the mid to back of the border or in woodland type settings. Plants make a very good cut flower that is similar to an upmarket Gypsophila.
